Hometown Hero Banners are representative of the heroes who served our country that can be found in our very own hometown. In order to recognize them and honor them, banners can be seen hanging in Downtown Lapeer from Memorial Day to Veterans Day. If you’d like to be a part of this or know a hometown hero, you can find more information below.
Hometown Hero Submissions for 2026 will open on Monday, February 2nd, 2026. Submissions are accepted on a first come first serve basis, until we are at capacity. Forms can be downloaded at the links below and hard copies are available at the DDA Office located inside the Lyric Mall. 410 W. Nepessing Street. Lapeer, MI 48446 Submissions will be accepted in person or by phone beginning at 9:00am on February 2nd. |
