DIG Grant Approved
The City of Lapeer has received a Downtown Infrastructure Grant (DIG) from the State of Michigan for reconstruction of Clay Street, the adjacent municipal parking lot behind the downtown buildings, and associated utilities, between Mason and Cedar Streets. City of Lapeer Water and Sewer funds, and contributions from the Downtown Development Authority, Downtown Business Association, and Greater Lapeer Transportation Authority will help cover additional project costs. The Lapeer Downtown Business Association, Gallery 194 and the Lapeer DDA on behalf of the Lapeer County 4H are sponsoring Art on the Town. High quality artworks by local artists will be exhibited at various businesses in the downtown area from March 7th to April 7th. The artworks will be auctioned on April 14th at the Lapeer Center Building with the proceeds benefiting Lapeer County 4-H.
